Benji has lived in our building for over five years now. Being one of two renters in the building we've had a chance to meet most of our neighbors as probably 80% of our them are original owners from when the building was first built over 20 years ago. In the past 18 months we've had two young couples buy apartments, move in and have babies. We rarely see them as we all work and have crazy schedules but finally I set up a time for us to get together for a neighbors dinner.
Dinner was a great success - One couple, the floor above has a 13 month old (pictured) and the other couple who just moved in a few months ago has a 4 month old (already in bed). Everyone was super nice and helpful. The night was a blast and very helpful for me to hear what's ahead and the ins and outs of the neighborhood with a new born. We all got along great and I think we'll may even have dinners now on a regular basis. It does not get more convenient than just walking up a flight of steps!
