Izzy is NO longer a little boy. He is our adorable, growing, happy, sweet and silly toddler. Here is an update on all things Izzy:
Personality - He does not know a stranger. He says hi and bye to EVERYONE. The best is when he's on the subway, everyone he sees is a new friend. He even becomes flustered when people don't pay attention to him. On the flight home from Atlanta last month, he walked the entire plane multiple times waving at every single person. If a person did not take notice fast enough, he would stop and continue to wave until they waved or smiled back. Several people named him the 'Mayor' of the plane.
Favorite Clothes - He has a thing for putting on pajamas he loves to lay them out himself and then lay down on them so its easier for us to put them on. It's incredibly cute (and helpful). See video below. He also loves shoes. He always wants us to put on his grey/neon Saccony's and if you leave your shoes out, they are fair game for Izzy to try on and try to walk around the apartment!
Favorite Toys - The Jones' got us this set of Jewish holiday puzzles. His favorite parts are the yalmuke which he always tries to put on his head. Also the Kiddush cup. he's always going around pretending to drink from it. He LOVES trains and cars. Izzy can make any toy or food into a car.
Favorite Books - Recently he's really into random books like the dreidle book from the PJ Library and a black and white baby book. Every night before he goes to bed, he wants us to read Jamberry or Good Night Moon. Robert Munsch is Benji's favorite author from growing up. Izzy loves all of his books, but there is one in particular that cracks me up called Thomas and the Snowsuit. There are a few parts of the book where Thomas says NOOOOOOOOOO to his mom, teacher and principal when they ask him to put on his snowsuit. It is really adorable when Izzy say's NOOOOOO at this part of the book, but at the same time, I know i'm digging myself a hole because he's going to use that same statement to me someday very soon!
Outings - It has been the WORST weather the past few months! Thank goodness for the playroom and tons of kids in the building. To try and escape the weather, we became members of the Natural History museum and have already been 3 times this year. Anywhere I can get from inside the subway is perfect for us!
Talking - The third name after mama and dada was GG for great grandma (or my grandmother). We can't wait to figure out the name he gives his nanny, Princess. He now will try and say any word that you tell him (many good times here). A few new words added to his vocabulary are taxi, hat, apple (his favorite food right now), up, buttons, pear, thank you. It amazes us everyday that Izzy understands EVERYTHING. Now we just ask him yes and no questions. I LOVE how he says 'Yay' or how he shakes his entire body when shaking his head yes or no.
Izzy's dislikes - drinking milk from anything except his bottle and brushing his teeth (sorry Dad).
He is still a crazy toddler - the other day Izzy threw his toothbrush into the toilet. I noticed AFTER I flushed. After 3 plumber visits they had to remove our toilet and thank goodness they were able to remove the toothbrush - otherwise it would have cost us $600 to replace the toilet!
