Downtown Manhattan is packed with kids Izzy's age. However, we wanted Izzy to have his own crew that he saw on a regular basis and a semi-structured play schedule. So a few month's ago I organized a playgroup for Izzy. There were two mom's that befriended Princess and played with her once a week individually - I thought they were both lovely women and had the sweetest kids around Izzy's age. With a little organizing we came together and added one more boy to created a playgroup that meet's twice a week in the morning (and the mom's meet once a month for drinks). Sadly, I cannot participate but from the photos that Princess sends, they are having a blast!
You can see from the photos, all the kids have become close friends. Its so cute to see them greet each other with hugs or grab hands to play ring-around-the-rosies (click here to see video or below). I've also included some photos of Izzy's buddy, James. James lives in the building and the two of them are inseparable when hanging out. Its really cute to see them together.
So in summary, Izzy is way more popular and has a busier social calendar than his parents!
