Where has the time gone? We cannot believe Izzy is now 7 months old. He is in this crazy transition stage between baby and little man and its fascinating to watch. Here are some examples....
- Still has not mastered the crawl. He now can scootch foward a little or crawl backwards. What scares us is that his favorite move is to find someone (or something) close by and stand up! We have a feeling he may start to walk before he masters crawling. We are already seeking extra pads for the floor!
- Not yet talking but makes blubering sounds - lots of b's.
- Now eats 3x a day and makes a mmmmmm sound when he's hungry and does not stop until fed! He's a GREAT eater. The only problem is that you cannot feed him fast enough. By the time you get the spoon back into the food he literally yells at you to hurry up and get another spoonful of food into his mouth. This continues until its all gone. Then, I just give him the spoon to chew on so he can gather every last drop.
- His two bottom teeth are very visible now. The crazy news is that an eye tooth or what I prefer to call a 'fang' has started to emerge on the top right of his mouth. This explains the excess drooling and fingers in the mouth. There is a chance cute little Izzy claims the nickname "The Can Opener" with only 2 middle bottom teeth and one sharp tooth on the upper right.
- He still loves the books Trucks and Brown Bear. He is starting to better understand the touch and feel books. We were about to throw away a big blue box that held a pitcher and thank goodness we put in his play box because this has been the big winner this month!
- Izzy is very ticklish - from the bottom of his feet to under his arms and on the inside of his legs. If you get him in the right spot he will laugh forever. And who does not LOVE the sound of a baby laugh???
- He does not like to be alone. He's great meeting new people but if thinks he will have to play by himself for a little, the tears will start to flow.
