A word to describe Izzy at 10 months is 'scrumptious.' He is so sweet that we can't help but eat him up. This month his personality has really started to develop and he is turning out to be the sweetest, silliest and happiest baby. I can't believe he has only been in our lives for just 10 months….and we are just so thankful that he's ours…..forever! Here are a few highlights of Izzy at 10 months:
- He has mastered Peek-a-boo – whether you are in front of him or talking to him through Skype/Facetime – Izzy can play a serious game of peek-a–boo!
- He's going to be a soccer player! One of our daily activities is for me to hold his hands and run around our tiny apartment chasing after a tiny ball that he kicks around. He gets so excited when he kicks it hard!
- He's a genius - Its fun now when I say "let's get daddy" - he'll take me to run towards Benji. Or if we say, "Where is mommy's nose?" he'll point to my nose. Guess we need to save more in his college fund for Harvard!
- Had his first cold – Izzy had the sniffles for a couple days – nothing major – but then he gave it to Debra, Benji and I and we were knocked out for the weekend + more. Izzy was fine!
- Eating machine – Izzy now can eat whatever we have with the exception of peanuts and honey. He's tackled all foods like a champ and the bigger the piece the better for him – with 8 teeth he can chew right through anything! However, he does have his fickle times and if he does not like a food he'll throw it straight to the ground!
- He's all boy – it amazes me when people look at Izzy and say he's such a pretty 'girl' - he is ALL BOY. From the way he looks to his obsession with trucks. His new favorite thing is to take his little Canada toy car and drive it around the apartment. Actually, he'll make anything into a car from food to a book and drive it around the apartment.
- He loves taking a bath - this is a long way from his first baths. Now, he will crawl straight to the bath and try to jump over the tub. Thankfully he can't make it yet.
- He has a mind of his own – he wines more and will point when he wants something. My favorite is when he is happy and does a big smile he scrunches up his nose and gives a big grin showing all of his 8 teeth!
- He had his first haircut (on his 10 mo birthday) - this deserves its own blog – videos and photos to come
- He loves to read – he likes touch and feel books. A few of his favorites now are 'that's not my monkey' and of course his Trucks book
- He's a daredevil in training - We've finally baby proofed most of the apartment because he is a daredevil and into everything. He has to be watched at every moment of the day. He loves to jump off the couches (thankfully they are low) and climb up on the window sill to look out our 26th floor window.
It was close to impossible to get a shot of him for his 10 month shoot. As you can see he was all over the place. This is right after his first haircut!
