Bye Bye Princy

Princess or as Izzy calls her, "Princy"started last September when Izzy was only 9 months old.

We are beyond sad to share that Princess is moving back to South Africa. We learned about this news the day after we returned from our Toronto vacation. This is deja vu from our Nanny Karen who left around the same time last year (however it was during our Toronto vacation). Next year, we may have to skip our summer vacation! 

Princess has been an incredible nanny and had an important part in making Izzy the sweet, funny, smart, silly and kind boy he is today. He loved having her chase him first thing in the morning and tickle him before the end of the day. She made the most amazing meals I have ever seen - always from scratch and all organic (if she had it her way). She also always bought Izzy the best toys and books such as his favorite tiny diggers and "Max" flash cards. As a first time Mom, she always had the best suggestions of how to keep Izzy learning and exploring! I can't tell you how many times that mom's and other nanny's would stop Benji and I to tell us how lucky we are (or were) to have Princess as a nanny -- and we agree!

Fortunately, this is not the last we will see of Princess. She still plans to keep a home in New York and we are experts at Skype! We are also very excited to welcome to Izzy's new nanny, Essence (on the right in the photo below). She is "Princess approved" and we think she's a new perfect fit for the family!

Izzy (and especially Benji and I) will miss Princess dearly!
