Train obsession

Izzy has a choo choo train obsession! We play trains every day and all he wants to read is choo choo train books - especially Thomas the Train. As you know, we plan out our days as much as possible with Izzy to keep him busy - especially during the winter when we can't just run around at the park. To feed his obsession with trains we woke up early the other morning and headed to Grand Central Station (just a 15 min subway ride from our place). From there we caught the 9:20 Metro North Train up to Hastings on Hudson - a sweet town up the beautiful Hudson River. I did an internship with Seth Godin 6 years ago so I am somewhat familiar with the area off the train (he also give us some tips of where to go/eat). We were in Hastings on Hudson at 10am and headed straight to an amazing spot right on the town square next to the Fire Station (another highlight) called Juniper. The food was outstanding (specifically the butternut squash and goat cheese sandwich). After breakfast we walked directly across the street to a baker owned by Seth's wife called 'Just in Time bakery'. We grabbed a cupcake and then walked back to the train station to catch the 11:20 train. We were home by a little after 12. What a busy morning. If you asked Izzy his favorite part, he would quickly state, "the cupcake." Even tough that may be true, you can see he loved every part from the photos and video below.
