For Passover this year, the Shomair Family headed south to Club Med Sandpiper Bay in Port St. Lucie, Florida (1 hour from West Palm Beach). This place was made for families. It was all inclusive so we did not need to think about anything! No cooking, cleaning, activities - it was all there for us whenever we needed. The place was so kid friendly that in every room they had a stroller, crib, changing pad, step stool for the bathroom, multiple types of high chairs with disposable bibs and a 24-hour bottle cleaning room with everything from kids snacks to baby food and milk. Izzy could scream and throw his food at a meal and no one would even notice - since there were 5 other kids doing the same thing. In order to attempt to escape the kid madness they did have an 'adult only' swimming pool and dining room (I did escape to the adult pool everyday)!
Beyond the kid friendly amenities, it was amazing to be with family all week. Izzy had some much needed quality time with his Bubbie and Zaydie as well as his Aunts, Uncles and cousin Milo! Benji has also been traveling so much it was nice for the 3 of us to spend a lot of time together.
Here are some photos from our trip. Kicking off with our flight from form NYC (LGA) to West Palm Beach - it was like a flying school bus! The first to board was people with wheelchairs and strollers - as you can see from the photo below - this included 75% of our flight.
| Izzy wasted zero time once he got to the resort. Headed straight for the beach and just a few moments later ran into the water with all his clothes |
Izzy and Milo took no time to warm up to each other and ran off to get in trouble right away. Here are some of my favorite photos from the week
There were endless activities at the resort. I LOVE activities - every morning Benji and I started the day off with tennis lessons and then I took advantage of everything from the triathlon training (I currently do not have race planned but learned a ton), circus class, golf, etc!
Izzy on the other hand had the best time hanging with his family and was non stop at the beach or one of the many kid friendly pools! They also had mini-tennis, golf and hockey, kids circus class and even an art room!
The resort had Passover Seder for the guests, however, it started at the time ours ended. Helene and Garry brought all the props needed for an incredible Passover Seder. We had a lovely outside table and very special family Passover (1st & 2nd nights).

I know its custom to say "Next year in Israel!" But after this trip, we are all saying, "Next year at ClubMed Sandpiper!"
